Guided Radar (TDR) Level Measurement

TSB supplies Guided Radar (TDR) Level Measurement solutions in Jordan for continuous level and interface measurement in liquids, pastes, slurries and bulk solids. Guided radar provides reliable measurement in storage tanks, process vessels and silos, including demanding applications with turbulence, foam, internal tank structures, high temperatures or high pressures.

The measuring principle uses high-frequency radar pulses guided along a rod, rope or coaxial probe. When the pulse reaches the product surface, part of the signal is reflected back to the transmitter. The measured Time-of-Flight is used to determine the distance to the product surface and calculate the level.

Product Overview

Guided Radar Level Measurement combines:

  • Continuous level measurement
  • Interface measurement on selected configurations
  • Measurement of liquids, pastes, slurries and bulk solids

Why Choose Guided Radar Level Measurement?

Guided Radar Level Measurement is particularly effective where process conditions make conventional non-contact measurement more difficult.

Because the radar pulse is guided directly along the probe, measurement remains reliable with turbulent surfaces, foam and many internal vessel structures. The surface condition of the medium has only a minor influence on the measurement, making guided radar suitable for demanding liquid and bulk-solid applications.

Guided radar is also a strong solution for interface measurement, where the position of two liquid layers must be monitored. High-temperature and high-pressure configurations extend the technology to severe process applications.

For plant operators, this provides accurate level measurement, reliable operation under changing process conditions, broad application coverage and low maintenance requirements.
